Dog tired.
That’s what I am.
And can you guess why?
Today I shopped until I nearly dropped.
That is, after I got up early and built a headboard for my new bed. Which is arriving tomorrow. So I went out shopping the discount stores and sale racks and bought all kinds of new bed linens, throw rugs and other goodies for the bedroom.
I even found a real bargain on a slightly damaged decorative shelf that I have already made the necessary repairs on this evening. It will be painted to match the headboard tomorrow when I put the second coat on it. Before dinner tonight I put the first coat of paint on the headboard and then went out to finish my shopping after dinner. Still have to go to the fabric shop and Home Depot again tomorrow for more supplies.
I put in an S.O.S. to my cousin to help me make the 19 yards of fabric I bought the other day into scarves for my windows. My old sewing machine is not too good on sheer fabric, and she has a fancy new one that does just about everything but make coffee for you. She should be coming over and bringing her machine later on this week.
And Thursday Bernie’s friend Bobby the electrician will be coming to install our ceiling fans in the bedrooms and an outdoor motion sensor light in the back yard.
Things are starting to really shape up around here. I am so excited. It feels so good to be doing so much of it myself and using so many things I have found, made, fixed up or bought at a discount too.

I’ve had a sewing machine in the cupboard for years. No idea how to work it. I had a cleaner and she said it was broken, but I think she just didn’t want to do any sewing!
