    Is anybody out there????

I know Xanga’s latest round of issues was frustrating to a lot of members, and there are rumours of mass exodus, but at least on my computer, Xanga seems to be working fine. But despite the fact that I have quite a few subscribers, and have been visiting and commenting on as many of my SIR’s as possible, I have been writing my little heart out right here and getting very few comments.

I see that I am not alone in this, as many of the sites I read that usually have loads of comments are getting very few now, too. I also know that my blogs have been a bit heavy on the home improvement front lately, but after all, this site IS about my life, and that is what has been consuming my life lately. Nevertheless, I still can’t help wondering if anybody has been reading or if I am sitting here talking to myself. Or is it just a matter of “the cat got your tongue”? Is everyone lurking and not saying anything? Huh?

So in another effort to print something of interest here, I present you a slightly different twist on the ubiquitous Xanga survey:

    If I were…

    I borrowed this from willowhawk

Golly, those took lots of thought. I have a very good reason for choosing each one, not necessarily obvious, either. If you would like to know why I picked any of these answers, Dear Reader, just ask and I will be very happy to explain. I am curious about which of these answers provokes the most questions and reactions…

Probably some stuff you would never have expected from the ol’ drumr in there, too. I keep telling everyone, you can’t judge a book by its cover, or adifrentdrumr by the look of her blogs.

  • You inspired me to try that quiz too. I’m not normally good at thinking what to say, but to my surprise I was able to answer most of them, though a couple of your answers I kept because they fitted me too.

I’ve been wondering about this whole “Xanga exodus” thing. I wouldn’t be surprised, in light of the problems some people are still having, but it’s so hard to gauge the extent of it when you think how there are so many pockets of Xangans who don’t know each other.

I’ve found my site a bit quiet too, and I wondered if it’s due to the same sort of thing…

  • I’ve been reading and commenting too on your site, all the way through your home improvements.  I have especially admired your blue ragged wall. Your style is totally different from my own and I have rather enjoyed watching it develop.  Certainly I would rather see your pics of it, part of your real life, rather than read another one of those surveys.  (OK I skimmed through that bit, but there are worse sins!)

I have had a bit of difficulty getting to sites sometimes, but the comments thing doesn’t seem to have changed.

  • NAA…ITS ALL IN YOUR HEAD.

  • good job. i would have never been able to decide for the answers to those.

  • I am so so sorry, Its been WAY to long, sence I’ve been here. I’ve been buisy, but thats no excuse. Youve dropped by several times to visit, and thank you so much for still thinking of me. I’ve been collecting some things to make myself anouther Drum set. It will probly take me awhile to get it done, with all the other things I need to do around here, But I will let you know how it turns out. Take Care Marvin

  • I’m here and I read…. I just don’t always comment…  I suppose I should at least leave a heart or something.   I just can’t always think of something.

Thank you for the sweet things you say to me.  It’s so appreciated.  ::hugs::

  • I’m still here.

  • hey i’m here too!

xanga is imploding under its own weight. they used the wrong technology and its causing lots of problems….thats my take on it.

for many of us, so many pages come back with errors and dont load or they take forever to come up…really a shame. hopefully the servers will come around…as well as the support!

happy sunday! great list…i’m gonna have to re-read this later…
