I really feel like howling now...

This morning I had the biopsy of the lump on the right side of my jaw. The doctor stuck five needles in it!

I should find out the results from the lab sometime in the beginning of next week.
***
Tuesday I had a root canal on the far back lower left molar.
So now I ache on both sides.

And the Vicodin the dentist prescribed doesn't even seem to be working anymore. I had to stop taking it at about midnight, so I could be clear-headed enough to drive to the hospital for the biopsy, but as soon as I got back and had a bite to eat, I started taking it again. I got a little bit of sleep this afternoon, but now I don't feel like sleeping, and the pain isn't going away. I have been putting ice on both sides of the jaw, and that isn't helping either. I have another hour before I can take my next dose.

...oh why don't they still sell these at the corner drugstore??

Thanks to everyone who left me birthday wishes and sympathy on my dental woes. It really means a lot to know there are folks out there who care.
The lemon cake was delicious, and my friend Andrew stopped in after work last night to have a piece with me. Bernie doesn't like lemon cake, so all the rest is mine, all mine!

Angel is in the living room asleep on my footstool, Pearl is snoozing on the floor behind me and Dolly is curled up on the daybed. Tommy is sound asleep, sprawled out in his usual spot under the kitchen table. Bernie is in bed, getting his much-needed rest so he can get up early in the morning and go to work. It's a lovely scene of domestic tranquility. The only missing pieces are Ziggy, who still insists on staying out in the garage, and me, very close to pacing the floor in pain...

I think I will go get that icepack again and count the minutes until my next dose of painkillers...

Oh hon! I am so sorry you're going through this pain! I hope it will all be much better by tomorrow (if not sooner). Maybe you could call the dentist in the morning and see if he can give you some Lortab instead. Vicodin NEVER works for me! Hope you feel better... ::hugs::
Take care and I hope you are out of pain soon!
Shorts
hope you start feeling better REAL soon!!
Did I congratulate you on your birthday?
If not, then CONGRATULATIONS!...
Yesss, Cocaine drops ... Or perhaps Coca Cola Classic...
I can get a large variety of drugs (coke, speed, XTC, hash, weed, what have you) here, but I will *not* send it to the USA by mail...
Ouch and double Ouch...sorry you are having so much pain! Praying the biopsy is a good result
I am sorry I forgot your birthday! Happy belated birthday!
I am also sorry that the root canal still seems to be giving you pain. I had a little after mine but not bad. And my dentist didn't even give me vicodan or codiene (thoughtless man!) He just said, "nothing exotic, try aspirin or ibuprofin. Sure they worked but where's the fun of the big time pain killers?
I really cringed reading about your biopsy. Five needles! that is the stuff of nightmares. I really hope it's benign.
Hugs and I hope you're feeling better soon.
vicodin! oh my friend vicodin..i take it for my knees. it works! damn that damn biopsy and driving....take it!!
sorry you had to suffer so. fingers crossed it was all for good news.
I sooooo hear ya! When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, I was given Darvocet. Talk about LaLa Land!
Now, they don't give me anything, since I have a permanent prescription for Percocet.
I don't know that it helps with the pain, but who cares! lol
And I love your pic of domestic bliss...I have one dog beside my chair and my cat, at my feet. The other dog is keeping my son company, by lying on his bed, while he's on his computer. That's pretty close...
And it sounds like Ziggy is having sympathy pains, if I didn't know better...
Get Well Soon!
Peace and Love...GFW
This sounds horrible. I hope you are feeling MUCH better by now.
