Today much of the world mourns the passing of a man of Peace.
Although I don't personally agree with
all of his beliefs, decisions and convictions,
I admire him for his faith, his compassion and his courage
to lead his people through a difficult time of many changes.
All things considered, he brought much positivity and light
to a world increasingly opressed by negativity and darkness.

May You Rest with the Angels,
Pope John Paul II

I'm so glad to see you post--I was wondering how you were doing.
I don't share those sentiments...
But had to pop by for a general "Hi!"... 't Has been too long, and I don't seem to be in a posting mood either. Too much on my mind to indulge in idle Xanga chatter
I agree....people can say what they want, but peace and the fall of communism across Europe were what he truly wanted. For all faiths.
I always was bias against the catholic church, I think I was raised that way, not outwardly against but had no respect for, my mother considered them idol worshipers, but I was sceptical about religion in general. He was, although a human being and I have never studied what he has done. I appreciate your sentiment and I didn't really think of it that way but I am sure he did many good things.
I am reading the Da Vinci Code though so I'm really wondering what in the world is really going on??
