The wall lamps for “the Royal Bedchamber” arrived!

Aren’t they pretty? The glass part is about the same size and shape as a champagne glass. They take the small chandelier style bulbs. They were only $16.99 for the pair on eBay, too!
These lamps will be the perfect touch on the wall behind the bed. The candle shelf will go between them. The wall switch next to the door works the outlet these lamps will plug into, so they will be what goes on first when I walk into the room. I have to wait until I get the headboard on the bed to put the lamps and shelf up so I can see how high to hang them. I will be so happy to get these lamps up, as I keep hitting the little table lamp on the nightstand with my pillow and am afraid I will knock it off.

I bought myself a circular saw yesterday. Some of my upcoming projects are just too much to take on with a hand saw. There will be no stopping me now!
My energy levels are a bit low again. I work in spurts. Pretty much bursts of frenzied activity alternating with periods of near total inertia. I feel some major inertia coming on. The rain probably has a lot to do with it.
Guess I will just sit back and admire my work for a while…my motivation will eventually return…
Thanks so much to everyone who has been leaving such encouraging comments on my projects. They really help to keep me going.

To be honest – I am not too sure about the pink color of the lamps (though i do like the shape)… But my faith in you tells me that it’ll probably be beautiful on those walls (take a picture, as ever
)…
A lot of Xangans (& others) are low on energy these days, and more than one person is complaining about lack of nightrest… Me too – though at days like today, with a lot of pressing matters, a spare battery always turns up.
If you need to be warned for it (prolly not) – don’t rely too much on the spare battery. When that’s empty, there’s boo-boo!…
Anyway, enjoy the bedroom and the boy-toy (circular saw)
Now you need to get a compound miter saw. Usually a good dewalt is around 250. Believe me it will change your life, I know mine did when I finally broke down and got one! Being a full time student I can’t devote the time to projects I’m used to, especially with having to carry 12 hours for the summer semester.
Oooooh those are gorgeous!! I’m so jealous!! I love the pewter frames, as well, I’m such a sucker for that kind of style. Those are absolutely beautiful, I hope you enjoy using them once you’ve got them up!! (I’m constantly knocking my alarm and lamp off my bedside table with my feet ~ I kick a lot
)
Well things are coming together for you and all looks great , I think we are all in a slump for now I know I am , But feel something stirring deep inside
must mean some new coming up in my head
enjoy –Have a great day.
LOVE AND LIGHT
Those lamps are gorgeous and will look very nice next to your blue walls . . . .
I would love to have a table saw, but would not use it enough to justify the expense. Being careful, I can rip wood fairly well with the circular saw if it is blocked out right. I redid a back room into a study and it would have been impossible without the compound miter saw. I kick myself now for all those years I suffered trying to make do with one of those cheezy miter boxes! But, a good knowledge of hand tools is essential. Let me see if I can link my restoration home page to this for you..Homepage
Sorry the html link will not work in the comment page. I’ll e-mail it to you.
My carpenter was supposed to put up 11 narrow L-shaped shelves in my book shop. He put up five big wide straight ones saying he didn’t have the right materials (though he spent two hours out buying stuff) and that I harrassed him too much. I spoke to another carpenter last night, arranged to go into the shop and open it up really early. he didn’t turn up. I wish I wasn’t so cack handed, and could do-it-myself!
Beautiful!…Everytime I visit your site and read about all the great redecorating ideas you have, makes me want to throw all my old stuff out and start anew
